Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University

Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University is a foundation university established in accordance with the law numbered 5839, on 19th February 2009, by "Vatan Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı (VASEV)" in Istanbul.

Having been founded in 2009 with 10 faculties, 2 vocational schools and 3 institutes, it first started providing education with 7 faculties, 2 vocational schools and 860 students in 2010-2011 Academic Year.

Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University aims to bring the scientists needed by the society into the country and to become a higher education institution and centre of excellence connected to Atatürk's principles and reforms, aiming to educate knowledgeable, contemporary, equipped and experienced young people who are useful to the society.

Taking into account the developments in the world, our university considers itself responsible for the upbringing of the workforce trained at associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level to exceed the level of civilization academically and technologically and to contribute to researches and studies. To this end, Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University provides universal education in different disciplines in cooperation with stakeholders such as government institutions, private sector and civil society institutions and organizations with its expert and experienced academic staff.

There have been various student clubs whose numbers are increasing depending on the interests of the students since the first year of our university. As of 2018-2019 Academic Year, there are 49 student clubs which are active in different fields.

The main campus of our university is “Dr. Azmi Ofluoğlu Campus” located in Topkapı, Istanbul. A significant part of education and training is provided here; moreover, executive offices are located in this campus. Topkapı Dr. Azmi Ofluoğlu Campus consists of two separate buildings: main building and annex. 7-storey main building has an area of 37,445 m2 and 10-storey annex has an area of 20,000 m2. In both of our buildings, there are executives’ and instructors’ offices, classrooms, an increasing number of health, science and computer laboratories built according to educational needs, workshops, TV, radio and photo studios, library, conference room, dance hall, dining hall, cafes. In Cevizlibağ Campus, in relation to “Life Sciences”, there are "Life Sciences and Technologies Laboratory" and "Forensic Sciences Laboratory" in which projects of many disciplines such as Medicine, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmacy, Forensic Genetics are carried out.

The Faculty of Dentistry of our university serves as a faculty and hospital of dentistry in the European side of Istanbul in Sütlüce-Halıcıoğlu for education and dental health. In this campus with 8-storey building, there are ​​academic and administrative units, classrooms, 8 clinics with 60 dental units, laboratories, central sterilization facilities, operating room, emergency room and local surgery areas for small surgical procedures, conference room, library, cafeteria and dining hall in total 3800 m2 closed area and it provides the students of Faculty of Dentistry with education and training, and opportunity to practice and public service for dental health.

Our another campus, Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital, also including Faculty of Medicine, is located in Gaziosmanpaşa in the European side of Istanbul. In Yeni Yüzyıl University Faculty of Medicine Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital, students can serve their internship, especially in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of medical education and training.

Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital serves to our students’ practical training with 117 polyclinics, 12 surgery rooms, 254 sickrooms and 336 total numbers of beds on 59.827 m2 area. There is also a library which is located on 180 m2 area with books and online services for our students and academicians.

The hospital was accredited by “Joint Commission International” in 2017.

Our latest campus is ‘Şirinevler Campus’ which is located in Şirinevler, İstanbul. In this campus, the training programs of Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Continuing Education Research and Application Center (YENİSEM) are carried out.
